— The ushers of Sandhills Missionary Baptist Church, loca6ted at 16920 Twisted Hickory Road in Bladenboro, will celebrate their anniversary at 3:30 p.m. with special guest speaker Pastor Robert Williams of House of Mercies Ministries of Whiteville. Refreshments will be served.

—Piney Grove A.M.E. Zion Church in Clarkton will host Women’s Day at 11 a.m. with speaker/evangelist Wanda B. Frierson. All are invited.

— The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church clothes closet will be open from 8 to 11 a.m. ​The food pantry, “From His Table to Yours,” opens the same day 10 a.m. to noon. Personal identifications and transportations are required. No fee is involved in either ministry. The Rev. Dr. Louie Boykin is the pastor. Baldwin Branch is located at 4047 N.C. 242 Highway South in Elizabethtown.

— Clarkton PFWB Church will hold its 64th Homecoming and everyone is invited to attend. The Rev. Dock Hobbs, regional director of PFWB churches, will be our guest speaker at 11 a.m. The Joyful Sound of South Carolina will provide spiritual songs at 10 a.m. for this special service. A covered dish meal will be served at noon in our Fellowship Hall. If you wish to bring a dish, feel free to do so. Invite friends and family for spiritual fellowship. Contact the Rev. Charlie H.
