ELIZABETHTOWN — The Rev. Chris Denny welcomed the Retired School Personnel of Bladen County to the Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church for their September meeting and he sang a hymn for the invocation.

Katherine Inscoe Taylor conducted the meeting as Trish Inscoe served coffee and donuts.

The speaker for the morning was Brandi Tedder DeVane, RN, who talked about the subject “What About Your Health?” She said that in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle it is important that you eat a balanced diet and have some form of regular exercise. Seniors should go to a primary doctor routinely, engage in scheduled social activities, routinely adhere to a sleep schedule and use good hygiene, and drink plenty of fluids. Vitamins can help.
