Education briefs for Oct. 23
LUMBERTON — The North Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals recently selected Renet McQueen as the its Educational Office Professional of the year.
A Red Springs native, McQueen has been employed with the Public Schools of Robeson County for 25 years and has been a member of the association for 24 years. McQueen works at the county’s Transportation Department. She is married and has two daughters.
The association is open to all educational office personnel and administrators in North Carolina.
PEMBROKE — The University of North Carolina at Pembroke will hold a Tuition and Student Fees forum at 5:30 p.m. today in Pine Hall Multi-Purpose room on campus.
The purpose of this forum will be to discuss the 2014-2015 tuition and student fees requests.
ST. PAULS — St. Pauls Elementary School will hold an open house at 4 p.m. and a Parent-Teacher Organization meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the gymnasium. The Advisory Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the conference room.
