BLADENBORO — The Bladenboro Visual Arts Council presents artist Chris McCarty during the month of September. He is a senior at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and will graduate in December.

McCarty is a student of Prof. Joseph Begnaud, who is an associate professor of art at UNCP.

The title of the art show is “My Experiences From Childhood.

McCarty’s art is done in spray paint with ready made objects and is about childhood, the love of outer space planets and cartoon characters. The themes on display are: The Secret of The Ooze, Bird Watching, Light Show, My Universe and Abstract.

The Art Gallary is located in the Bladenboro Historical Society Building at 818 S. Main St. in Bladenboro.

The Art Gallery is open Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and by appointment during the week. For information, call 910-863-4707 between 10 and noon.
