BLADENBORO — Stella Dove Pait, 93, of Bladenboro passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013. She was born on August 29, 1920 to the late Charlie and Vertie Edwards Dove of Bladenboro. She was married to her soul mate of 73 years Fred L. Pait until his departure to heaven. Ms. Stella was preceded in death by five sisters: Ethel Butler, Alberta Poole, Leona Hester, Madie Watts and Leola Conner; and three brothers: Charlie Jr., Gaston, and Frank Dove; one granddaughter Faye Taylor Conner, and one great grandson Mitchell Means. Left to cherish her wonderful memories are daughter Pauline Pait Taylor and husband Mitchell of Lumberton, three sons: Clifton Pait and wife Jane, David Pait and wife Dorothy, and Harold Pait and wife Nancy Pait, two sisters: Ada Pait and Vada Storms, one brother Albert Dove and wife Bonnie, all of Bladenboro; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 18, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Original Freewill Baptist Church in Bladenboro with the Rev. Henry Ward and the Rev. Bobby Carden officiating. Burial will follow services in the church cemetery. Through the years, Ms. Stella prided herself in providing for her family and church functions with her exceptional cooking skills. Her other passions were her beautiful flowers and gardening. She will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her.
