ELIZABETHTOWN — Assaults, break-ins and alarms filled the call report from victims to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office between Jan. 4 and Jan. 14.

During that time, there were a total of 108 calls from victims of crime — including 16 for breaking and/or entering, 15 for verbal and/or physical assaults, 13 for alarms, 11 for larceny and four for suspicious activity.

There were a total of 18 arrests during that same time.

Following are the more interesting and/or important arrests:

— Kirby Glenn Wright, 41, charged with civil contempt for child support at 1403 Dowd Dairy Road in White Oak on Jan. 4.

— Malik Onasis Melvin, 20, charged with felony failure to appear on a felony at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizababethtown on Jan. 6.

— Terry Newton Moore, 36, charged with felony intimidating a witness at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Jan. 6.

— Matthew Lee Wright Kemp, 34, charged with felony larceny at 100 Allen St. in Elizabethtown on Jan. 8.

— Cedric Lester Hagan, 34, charged with civil contempt for child support at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Jan. 9.

— Christopher Deushun Brand, 34, charged with assault on a female at 3034 U.S. 701 North in Elizabethtown on Jan. 9.

— Amanda Nicole Gray, 23, charged with felony obtaining property by false pretenses at Dollar General in Bladenboro on Jan. 9.

— Abigail Maria Cook, 20, charged with making a harassing telephone call in Elizabethtown on Jan. 9.

— Eric Devon Freeman, 35, charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury at N.C. 211/Boggy Branch Road in Council on Jan. 11.

— Darrell Tre’quan Pipkin, 22, charged with felony larceny by an employee at 213 Tarheel Packers Drive in Tar Heel on Jan. 14.
