ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office recently released its victim and arrest report for Oct. 16 through Oct. 23.


The report shows a total of 56 victims of crime — including 10 calls for breaking and/or entering, eight for larceny, four for physical and/or verbal assault, and two for alarms.


There were also a total of 24 arrests during that same time period.


Following are the more interesting and/or important arrests:


— Carson Darnell Stephens, 60, charged with felony trafficking opium or heroin at 303 Pecan St. in Bladenboro on Oct. 16.


— Ervin Junior Ripley, 43, charged with assault on a female at 47 Allen Circle in Clarkton on Oct. 18.


— Darrius Cordell Powell, 18, charged with communicating threats at 77 Shane lane on Bladenboro on Oct. 19.


— Demetrius Lamar Slaughter, 21, charged with felony extradition.fugitive from another state at the Bladen County Magistrate’s Office in Elizabethtown on Oct. 20.


— Michael Scott Jones, 38, charged with civil contempt for child support at Gum Springs Road in White Oak on Oct. 20.


— Tyrief Akim Ward, 25, charged with shoplifting/concealment of goods at 103 W. Seaboard St. in Bladenboro on Oct. 21.


— Calvin Rayfield Jones, 37, charged with civil contempt for child support at 121 Orange St. in Lumberton on Oct. 22.


— Tony Lee Severine, 44, charged with felony probation violation at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Oct. 22.


— Jonathan Adam Andrews, 25, charged with felony breaking and/or entering at 120 Third St. in Dublin on Oct. 22.


— Megan Alicia Haynes, 25, charged with felony breaking and/or entering at 9957 N. College St. in Clarkton on Oct. 22.


— Andre Miquel Diaz, 49, charged with violation of a domestic violence protective order at 1456 River Road in White Oak on Oct. 23.
