ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office reports there have been a total of 48 calls from victims of crime and 39 arrests between Sept. 24 and Oct. 2.


Among the calls from victims were 10 for breaking and/or entering, eight for verbal and/or physical assault, three for drugs, two for larceny and two for security alarms going off.


The following are the more interesting and/or important arrests during that time:


— Amber Shara Cobbs, 22, charged with civil contempt for child support at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Sept. 25.


— Karkie Lamont Henry, 32, charged with being a habitual felon (felony true bill indictment) at 106 Courthouse Drive on Sept. 25.


— Jennifer Edwards Shaw, 33, charged with civil contempt for child support at 106 Courthouse Drive on Sept. 26.


— Daija Ronea Lloyd, 18, consuming alcohol by a minor under the age of 19 in White Oak on Sept. 27.


— Melton Morris Melvin, 36, charged with being a habitual felon (felony true bill indictment) at 106 Courthouse Drive on Sept. 27.


— Ashley Renne Norman, 21, charged with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance at 15855 N.C. 87 Hwy. West in Tar Heel on Sept. 27.


— Mario Tyrie Lapaix, 37, charged with assault on a female at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Sept. 28.


—Edron Courtney Lewis, 34, charged with assaulting a government official/employee at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Sept. 30.


— Angeliene Peoples, 29, charged with assault with a deadly weapon at at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Oct. 1.


— Corey Michael Peterson, 35, charged with civil contempt for child support at Bladen County Jail on Oct. 1.


— Thomas Todd Haire, 35, charged with felony larceny at 8000 Burney Road in White Oak on Oct. 1.


— Morris Keith Bellamy, 20, charged with felony trafficking opium/heroin at 599 Britt St. in Bladenboro on Oct. 2.


— Logan Alexander Sykes, 17, charged with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance at 599 Britt St. in Bladenboro on Oct. 2.


— James Todd Harrelson, 21, charged with felony common law robbery at 300 Britt St. in Bladenboro on Oct. 2.


Kevin Simpkins, 45, charged with assault on a female at 682 Booker T. Washington School Road/Grand Road in Clarkton on Oct. 2.
