Lynn Cordon Sasser of Goldsboro and Trevor Swain Smith of Lillington exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony on April 13, 2013, at six o’clock at The Hall and Gardens at Landmark in Garner. Dr. Louis Alan Sasser, uncle of the bride, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Katherine Ayers Sasser and Leonard Keith Sasser of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Katherine Ayers Lomax of Elizabethtown and the late David Taylor Ayers, and Leonard Ralph Sasser also of Elizabethtown, and the late Helen Nix Sasser. She is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is employed as a pharmacist with Wal-Mart of Coats.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Scott Smith of Lillington. He is the grandson of Marie Smith and the late Edgar Theodore Smith Sr, and Virginia Swain and the late Sigmund Swain, all of Lillington. He graduated from Harnett Central High School and Campbell University with a degree in Business Administration. He is employed as a City Executive with New Century Bank in Clinton.
Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted by her father.
Laura Sasser Rush of Clayton, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Kristina Whitfield of Goldsboro, Nicole Elizabeth Smith of Lillington, cousin of the groom, and Elizabeth Ashley Heath of Deep Run.
Jeffrey Scott Smith, father of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Hunter Scott Smith of Lillington, brother of the groom, Jamie Todd Smith of Lillington, cousin of the groom, and Austin Kane Harris of Troy.
Flower girl was Karli Cheyenne Johnson of Lillington. Ring bearers were Owen Brantley Rush of Clayton, nephew of the bride, and Taylor Ryan Smith of Lillington.
Greeter for the ceremony was Elizabeth Lynn Migliaccio of Marmora, New Jersey, and program attendants were Melissa Ann Stansell and Jessica Irene Long, both of Goldsboro.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception dinner and dance at the Grand Salon Ballroom at Landmark. Reception greeters were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Harrington of Broadway and Dr. Erin McKenzie Camp of Baltimore, Maryland.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Wagner House in Clayton. Live music followed the dinner in The Wagner House garden.
Following their honeymoon trip to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica, the couple resides in Lillington.
