Dec. 12

— The Elizabethtown Church of God will have a Live Nativity beginning Friday, Dec. 12, and continuing through Sunday, Dec. 14. The nativity will begin at 7 p.m. nightly.

Dec. 13

— The Greater Omni Deliverance Church of Elizabethtown will have an “All Must Go” sale beginning at 10 a.m. until everything is gone. The church is located at 112 East Swanzy Street, Elizabethtown.

Dec. 14

— Brown’s Creek AME Zion Church will hold its annual 50 Women in Red and 50 Men in Black Service at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Pas. Lucy Young of Freewill Pentecostal Holiness Church of Lake Waccamaw. She will be accompanied by her choir and congregation.

— Piney Grove AME Zion Church will observed their 112th Church Anniversary at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Haywood Oliver. He will be joined by his choir and congregation from Mt. Olive AME Zion of Elizabethtown.

—Sandhill MBC will celebrate “Senior Citizen Day” during their 11 a.m. worship service. All church seniors 60 and older are asked to be present for recognition, and wear red for the occasion.

— First Baptist Church Pas. Clifton Freeman Jr. will be ministering at New Hope Zion Church in Raeford at 3:30 p.m.

Dec. 17

— The Elizabethtown community Advent services will wrap up at noon at Trinity United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown. The speaker will be Chris Denny, pastor of Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church.

Dec. 19

— I AM Inc. will be giving away 10 bicycles — five girls and five boys— to children under the age of 17. To be eligible there will be a contest Friday, Dec. 19, at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market from 4 until 6 p.m. The contestants must read “I Am The True Vine” from the Bible and create their own parable which will be judged. — The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church Food Pantry Ministry “From His Table to Yours” will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. Identification and transportation required. No fee is involved. Baldwin Branch is located at 4047 NC 242 Highway South, Elizabethtown.

— Kelly United Methodist Church in Kelly will host “I Choose Jesus: A Christmas Piano Concert” with Mark Edquid at 6p.m. The church is located at 16550 Hwy. 53 West, Kelly. For more information call Pas. Ernie Block at 910-617-7744.

— Sandhill MBC will celebrate their Christmas program immediately following the 11 a.m. worship service.

— The Dublin First Baptist Church Choir and Handbells invites everyone to a celebration and reception in honor of

Estelle Summerlin on the occasion of over 50 years of service to Dublin First Baptist Church and its music program at 6 p.m. at the Dublin First Baptist Church located at 7275 Albert Street, Dublin.

— The Sandhill MBC will conduct a “Watch Night Service” starting at 10:30 p.m. with a candlelight march. Pas. Donald Thompson will bring the midnight message.

— The Christian Education Department of Shady Grove AME Zion Church of Council will be having a prayer breakfast on at 8:30 am. The guest speaker will be Portia Jacobs, Episcopal Christian Education director.

Jan. 4, 2015

— Join us for a New Year’s Celebration at 6 p.m. at Dublin First Baptist Church featuring the Mighty Echoes and the Glory Bound Quartet with a message by Dr. Allan Blume. The church is located at 7275 Hwy 87, Dublin.

— The Community Outreach Evangelistic Ministry/Vertical Church meets every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Elizabethtown Deliverance Evangelistic Center at 412 A Peanut Plant Road, Elizabethtown. There will be worship, Bible teaching/videos, prayer and refreshments. transportation will be provided for Elizabethtown residents. — Elizabethtown Deliverance Evangelistic Center will offer an exercise class on Thursday nights followed by a mid-week service/Bible study. Classes will meet from 6 until 8:30 p.m. each Thursday. Dec. 14

— Victory Baptist Church in Whiteville will be presenting a Christmas program entitled, “Jesus Was Born To Die” on at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Admission is free. There will be a finger-food fellowship following the program. Victory is located at 2012 South Madison Street (one half mile south of Walmart). Dec. 18

— The Whiteville Parks and Recreation Department will hold an organizational meeting for this season’s men’s church basketball league. The meeting will be held at the recreation center at 7 p.m. Any church interested in having a team this year needs to have a representative at the organizational meeting.



— I Am Inc. in conjunction with God’s Garden of Paradise Inc. will offer every month free meals and free haircuts. — College Small Group will meet from 6 until 7 p.m. (ages 18 to 23) followed by AMPED Student Ministry worship service from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. each Sunday night at Dublin First Baptist Church. The upbeat worship service will be lead by our student ministry band, and include drama, and deep Biblical teaching.
