Bladen We Care is celebrating 25 years of caring and proudly presents their annual fundraiser, “Let’s Toast Bladen County for Caring.”
Smithfield and Murphy-Brown are sponsoring the celebration at Lu Mil Vineyard, Friday, April 11, from 7 to 11 p.m.
Don Butler, director of government relations for Smithfield, and Murphy-Brown Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Public Affairs, said “Smithfield and Murphy-Brown are pleased to be a part of the 25th celebration of such a worthy cause. People helping people. Bladen We Care has provided a safety net for so many local residents. We have a very large investment in Bladen County as well as many employees and growers. We are committed to supporting worthy projects in communities where we do business. This is just another way we show our support to the entire area.”
Tickets are available at Leinwands, Fishers and Campbell Oil, or from any Bladen We Care board member, for $100 per couple. All proceeds go to those with medical needs in Bladen County.
According to Mac Campbell Jr., president of Bladen We Care, “‘Let’s Toast Bladen County for Caring’ will be an evening of fun, food and good music featuring Blackwater Rhythm & Blues Band. Tickets holders are eligible for the reverse raffle and there will be a live auction with a limited number of items.”
“Let’s Toast Bladen County for Caring” is one of two fundraisers held annually to support Bladen We Care. The other is a golf tournament, which is scheduled Thursday, April 24, at River Landing in Wallace.
