ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Board of Commissioners met in a closed session on Monday night for a matter of cleint attorney privilidge.
Upon returnign to open session, Chairman Jimmie Smith addressed those remaining in the room. He informed the group the Superior Court Judge had been through the Bladen County Jail earlier in the day and had spoken with County Attorney Allen Johnson. Smith told those in attendance that some corrective measures would be taken, but Smith did not elaborate on what those measures would be.
In other business, the board members were given their first look at the 2015 Schedule of Values from the countywide revaluation process.
“We are submitting those schedule of values to you and asking the board to set up a public hearing for the second meeting in August,” said Bladen County Tax Administrator Chris Ellis.
The board set the required public hearing for Monday, Aug. 18, at 6:30 p.m.
