LUMBERTON — Four people have been charged with multiple crimes after less than $5 worth of wire was stolen from a trailer that was then set on fire, according to Lt. Brian Duckworth, a fire investigator with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Porsha Danielle Ivey, 22, of 453 Pinwheel Circle, Tracy Nicole Scott, 22, of 160 Ball Park Road, and 18-year-old Ethan Neil Locklear, of 995 Singletary Church Road, are each charged with burning certain buildings, breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. Ivey and Scott are being held at the Robeson County jail under a $7,500 secured bond, while Locklear’s bond is set at $9,000.
Austin Lee Scott, 18, of 1111 Long Road, is charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. Scott was released on an unsecured bond of $2,500; his photograph was not available to The Robesonian.
Duckworth said a 12-by-33-foot trailer at 305 Ball Park Road, which belongs to Eddie Lee Powers, was set on fire on July 22. after it was broken into twice that day. He said wire that was stolen was sold for $4.36 to a buyer of scrap metal.
There was $4,400 worth of damage done to the storage unit, which was uninsured.
