Five Bladenboro residents arrested on drug charges

BLADENBORO — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, during its ongoing “Operation Southwest” investigation, recently arrested two Bladenboro residents and charged them with a variety of drug violations.


According to Chief Deputy Rodney Hester, the following individuals were arrested between Nov. 20 and Dec. 9.


— Ashley Marie Porter, 21, was arrested Nov. 20 and charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, selling a Schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling or place for a controlled substance, and delivering a Schedule II controlled substance.


Porter was released from the Bladen County Jail after posting a $5,000 secured bond.


— Sherod Dakota Davis, 30, was arrested on Dec. 9 and charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, two counts of manufacturing cocaine, two counts of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance, two counts of selling cocaine and two counts of delivering a Schedule II controlled substance.


Davis was released from the Bladen County jail after posting a $20,000 secured bond.

In an unrelated incident, the Sheriff’s Office and Elizabethtown Police Department assisted the North Carolina Probation and Parole on a warrantless search on Ashe Street in Bladenboro on Dec. 6.


As a result of that search, the following Bladenboro residents were arrested:



— Darlene Cain Batton, 47, who was charged with maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of use of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.


Batton remains in the Bladen County Jail under a $12,000 secured bond.


— Dorothy Renee Deaver, 27, who was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.


Deaver remains in the Bladen County Jail under an $11,000 secured bond.


— Tristan Singletary, 30, who was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of felony probabtion violation.


Singletary remains in the Bladen County Jail under a $101,000 secured bond.
