CLARKTON — Bladen County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Currie teenager and charged him with the statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl.
According to Capt. Rodney Hester, the girl’s mother reported the crime.
“The incidents allegedly occurred between June 10 and Sept. 8 … at a residence in the Clarkton area,” Hester said.
After an investigation, deputies arrested Raquan Alfonzo Kea, 17, on Thursday, Oct. 3, and charged him with one count of first-degree statutory rape and two counts of first-degree sex offense of a child under the age of 13.
Hester said Kea knew the victim.
Kea was booked into the Bladen County Jail and was released after posting a $10,000 secured bond.
