BCC offers community service learning opportunities


DUBLIN — Bladen Community College is offering the following community service courses:

— Shag for Beginners, 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 31 through May 5, Cape Fear Farmer’s Market

— Ballroom Dancing, 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 31 through May 5, Cape Fear Farmer’s Market

— Guitar Lessons, to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 2 through April 30, Dublin campus

— Make Your Own Lap Quilt, 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 5 through May 10, Dublin campus

— Paint Night at Lu Mil Vineyard, 6 to 9:30 p.m., Thursday, April 7, Baby Duck, Lu Mil Vineyard

— Wreath Making, 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 11 through May 2

— Floral Arranging, 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 12 through May 3, Elizabethtown Florist

— Event and Weddings Planning, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Monday, April 18 through May 9, Elizabethtown Florist

— Paint Night at Lu Mil Vineyard, 5:30 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, Beach Scene, Lu Mil Vineyard

(Shag, Ballroom, Guitar lessons will not begin until 15 students minimum is reached.)

Those interested in Piano for Beginners, Watercolor from Start to Finish, Crafts, PC and Laptop Maintenance, Let’s Get Crafty, Cross Stitching, and Gardening classes should contact the college for more information.

The costs for courses varies from $30 to $60. In some classes, students may need to purchase supplies.
