LUMBERTON – Escaped inmate Jamie Parrish is back in custody after he escaped from the Robeson CRV Center on Thursday night. He was discovered missing shortly after 10 p.m.

He was arrested at about 7:15 Friday morning by deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at a Walmart store in Pembroke.

Parrish, 40, was serving a 90-day period of confinement in response to a violation of his post-release supervision.

He was scheduled for release on Friday morning, but faces charges in Wayne County for larceny, possession of stolen goods, driving while impaired and other driving offenses. He was due to be transferred to the Wayne County jail on Friday.
