FAYETTEVILLE (WNCN) – The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in solving the 2013 murder of Felicia Diggs Williams.

On Nov. 5, 2013, Williams was shot and killed outside her home on Paddlefish Drive in the Taylor’s Creek Mobile Home Park in Fayetteville.

Williams was found lying in the front yard suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where she later died.

Neighbor Ester McNeil told WNCN in 2013 that she heard two gunshots and heard Diggs’ children yelling that their mother had been shot. McNeil also said another neighbor believed that Diggs was trying to get away from a man with a gun when she got in her car and was shot.

Homicide detectives will be at the entrance of Taylors Creek Mobile Home Park Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about Williams’ death to stop by and speak with officers on scene. People can also call Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS, or the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500 and speak with any member of the Homicide Unit.
