ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Sheriff”s Office handled a total of 60 calls for assistance from the public between July 9 and July 16.


Among those calls were 11 for larceny, five for suspicious activity, five for verbal and/or physical assaults, three for alarms and three for breaking and/or entering.


There were also a total of 18 arrests during that same time.


Following are the more interesting and/or important arrests:


— Gary Mark Nance, 45, charged with assault with a deadly weapon at 575 Webb Faulk Road in Bladenboro on July 9.


— Jonathan Ikie Stocks, 33, charged with civil contempt for child support at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on July 10.


— Reginald Anthony Ross, 57, charged with civil contempt for child support at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on July 10.


— Jerry Lee Ortiz, 49, charged with assault with a deadly weapon at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on July 10.


— James Crawford Johnson, 38, charged with civil contempt for child support at Willard Tatum Road in Elizabethtown on July 10.


— Teresa Ann Harris, 44, charged with violation of school attendance law at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on July 10.


— Debra Sue Robinson, 59, charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor at 329 Homer Drive in Elizabethtown on July 10.


— Marvin Gene Sykes, 55, charged with civil contempt for child support at 114 Midway Drive in Bladenboro on July 12.


— Hunter Lynn Guyton, 21, charged with domestic criminal trespass at 108 White Lake Drive in White Lake on July 14.
