ELIZABETHTOWN — Two Bladenboro men have been arrested and, between the two, were charged with firearm and drug violations after a joint effort by the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office and Elizabethtown Police Department.


On Friday, June 25, investigators offices from each agency located a stolen firearm and narcotics during an ongoing investigation that led them to a residence on Todd Britt Court in Bladenboro.


There, narcotics investigators arrested Darrell Wayne Powell, 52, and Geovannie Deandre Drayton, 20.


Powell was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of firearms by a convicted felon, simple possession or marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His secured bond was set at $51,000.


Drayton was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His secured bond was set at $500.


The two remain in the Bladen County Jail.
