ELIZABETHTOWN — Deputies with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office received a total of 50 calls from the public for assistance between Aug. 27 and Sept. 3.
Among the calls were nine for breaking and/or entering, six for larceny, six for verbal and/or physical assault, five for alarms, three for suspicious activity and two for drugs.
There were also 16 arrests during that same time.
Following are the more important and/or interesting arrests:
— Dwione Terrell Baxley, 31, charged with resisting a public officer at 135 Longs Road in Lumberton on Aug. 28.
— Destiny Marie Davis, 18, charged with felony failure to appear at 1102 Braxton Edge Road in Fayetteville on Aug. 28.
— Santana Trenetta Baldwin, 30, charged with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Aug. 28.
— Holly Louise Dietz, 33, charged with felony manufacturing a Schedule II controlled substance at 301 E. King St. in Elizabethtown on Aug. 29.
— Jason Alexander Hall, 39, charged with civil contempt for child support at 69 Bethel Church Road/Second St. in Bladenboro on Sept. 1.
— Michael Dwayne Wix, 26, charged with communicating threats at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Sept. 1.
— Lester Lynn Rich, 39, charged with communicating threats at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Sept. 1.
— Angela Ann Spell, 30, charged with cyber stalking at 105 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Sept. 1.
— Willie Jean Burney Teel, 61, charged with communicating threats at Robeson County line in Bladenboro on Sept. 1.
— James Correia, 32, charged with defrauding a drug/alcohol screening test at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on Sept. 2.
