ELIZABETHTOWN – Hurricane Matthew has brought historic flooding to Bladen County. U.S. Cellular is extending waived voice and data usage for many impacted customers that have billing addresses within Bladen County from October 7 to October 16. The extension is an additional six days past the original period announced earlier this week.

“We know the flooding in our area continues to impact so many. The extension of waived voice and data usage from October 7 to October 16 for our customers that have billing addresses in Bladen County is our way of providing our communities with the service they need to stay connected with family and updated information,” said Jeremy Taylor, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in eastern North Carolina.

Also, in an effort to aid residents in areas impacted by Hurricane Matthew in eastern North Carolina, U.S. Cellular is donating $5,000 to the American Red Cross for relief efforts.

Many U.S. Cellular customers that have billing addresses within the following counties will have voice and data usage waived for the extended period of October 7 to October 16:

Edgecombe

Greene

Harnett

Hoke

Hyde

Johnston

Lenoir

Moore

Nash

Pitt

Robeson
