A collision between a Ryder truck and log truck Tuesday afternoon in the southeastern part of the county closed all but one lane at the intersection of N.C. 11 and N.C. 210.

According to an N.C. Highway patrol report filed by Trooper K. McVicker, the Ryder truck was traveling east on N.C. 210 and ran through the blinking red light at the intersection and struck the log truck, which was traveling north on N.C. 11.

The Ryder truck reportedly flipped and landed on a Toyota and Ford pickup.

According to the report, four people were injured — three were transported to an area hospital by ambulance and the fourth was airlifted.

The driver of the Ryder truck, who has not been identified, was charged with failure to yield the right of way.
