BLADENBORO — A Dublin woman is confirmed dead of a gunshot wound following an argument in Bladenboro Wednesday.
According to WECT, Bladen County coroner Hubert Kinlaw identified the victim as 30-year-old Deanna McGirt.
McGirt entered a home in Bladenboro with a companion, and an argument ensued over money. The suspected gunman left the property but returned and opened fire, injuring the companion and killing McGirt, who was pronounced dead before she arrived at Bladen County Hospital.
Numerous attempts to contact the Bladenboro Police Department for additional details have been unsuccessful. The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office declined to comment, stating that it was a Bladenboro Police Department matter.
