Bladen County businesses and government offices have announced closings for the Labor Day holiday. Those include:

— All federal courts and North Carolina courts will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of the holiday. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

— There will be no mail delivery on Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of Labor Day. Regular mail delivery will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

— All federal offices, state offices, and local county and municipal government offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, to mark the holiday. They will resume normal operations Tuesday, Sept. 6.

— Bladen County Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be operating on their normal schedule, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to serve the public’s trash disposal needs. However, the transfer station will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

— There will be no residential trash pickup on Monday, Sept. 5.

— The Bladen Journal offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5, for Labor Day. Normal business hours will resume Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 9 a.m.

— Bladen County Schools, according to the school district’s calendar, will be open and in session on Monday, Sept. 5.

— Bladen Community College will not hold classes on Monday, Sept. 5. All classes will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
