Memorial Day closings announced


Staff report



Bladen County businesses and government offices have announced closings for the Memorial Day holiday.

They are:

— All federal courts and North Carolina courts will be closed on Monday, May 30, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday, May 31.

— There will be no mail delivery on Monday, May 31. Regular mail delivery will resume on Tuesday, May 31.

— All federal offices, state offices and local county government offices will also be closed Monday, May 31, to mark the holiday. They will resume normal operations Tuesday, May 31.

— Bladen County Schools will be closed on Monday, May 30, and will eopen on Tuesday, May 31.

— The Bladen County Transfer Station will be closed Monday, May 3o. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, May 31. All other county collection centers will be open Monday, May 31,

— The Bladen Journal offices will be closed on Monday, May 30. They will reopen on Tuesday, May 31, at 9 a.m.

— All branches of the Bladen County Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 30, and will reopen Tuesday, May 31.

— Bladen County Solid Waste Hours of operation for Monday, May 30. All convenience centers will be operating on their normal schedule, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. However, the Transfer Station will be closed Monday with operations resuming on Tuesday, May 31.
