ELIZABETHTOWN — Elements of the U.S. Army are conducting training in a designated part of Elizabethtown today. The training involves the use of training ammunition and demolitions. Sounds associated with the training may be heard in the area of west Broad Street. The Sheriff’s Office and Police Department are aware of the training and, if requested, law enforcement personnel and/or military personnel will respond to calls requiring additional assistance.
The U.S. Army sincerely appreciates the cooperation of the citizens and local businesses in the vicinity of this training and apologizes for any disturbances it may cause. The exercise will be closely monitored for safety, and there will be no danger to the public.
