ELIZABETHTOWN — A Bladen County jury recently returned a verdict of $1.7 million against railroad transportation company CSX and in favor of a truck collision victim.

The injured driver Kimberly Johnson sued CSX after being rear-ended by a CSX-owned truck.

CSX originally refused to pay Johnson for the damages, which prompted Johnson to file the lawsuit. Johnson’s doctors testified he has not been able to work since Dec. 11, 2008. A jury of 12 in Bladen County deliberated for 45 minutes before returning their verdict on Friday, April 1.

Johnson was represented by North Carolina injury attorney and board certified trial lawyer Brent Adams, a personal injury law firm based out of Raleigh, Dunn and Fayetteville.
