Bladen County businesses and government offices have announced closings for the Fourth of July holiday.

Those include:

— All federal courts and North Carolina courts will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the holiday. They will resume normal operations on Monday, July 6.

— There will be no mail delivery on Saturday, July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. Regular mail delivery will resume on Monday, July 6.

— All federal offices, state offices and local county and municipal government offices will be closed Friday, July 3, to mark the holiday. They will resume normal operations on Monday, July 6.

— The Bladen County Transfer Station will be closed Friday, July 3 in observance of the holiday. Normal operations shall resume on Monday, July 6. All other county collection centers will be operating on their normal schedule.

— The Bladen Journal offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the holiday. They will reopen on Monday, July 6, at 9 a.m.
