FORT BRAGG (WRAL) — Construction crews working on Interstate 295 in Cumberland County uncovered what authorities believe are three 155-millimeter artillery shells, Fort Bragg officials said Wednesday.

Military police, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit and the Fort Bragg Fire Department have established a safety boundary to the area, and officials closed the Yadkin Road Access Control Point. Drivers are directed to avoid the area.
