ELIZABETHTOWN — With the holiday season fast-approaching, the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce has announced it will hold a “Holiday Window/Store Display Contest through the month of November, with the winner being announced in time for the annual downtown Elizabethtown Christmas Parade on Thanksgiving weekend.
According to Dawn Maynard, executive director of the Chamber, the contest is being held to help promote Small Business Saturday on Nov. 28, as well as shopping locally.
The winner of the contest will be determined by judging performed by Chamber directors, and will be recognized on Wednesday, Nov. 25, by Chamber directors. The winner will also receive a holiday arrangement, a ribbon for their store front, two free lunched to the December meeting of the Chamber membership and a story and photo in the Bladen Journal, on the newspaper’s website and on BladenOnline.
The contest is open to all Chamber members and is free to enter.
