ELIZABETHTOWN —On Thursday at the Bladen County Library Main Branch, Roger Grunder was memorialized with rosemary in a library garden. A shrub planted three years ago in Grunder’s memory was stolen three weeks after it was planted, and Bryan replaced the plant this week. Bryan described Grunder as “a very special person” and, in relaying why he chose rosemary, quoted Shakespeare’s Hamlet, saying, “There’s rosemary, that’s for remembrance.”
