Gaskins elected president of foundation

WILMINGTON — Steve Gaskins, a partner with Old North State Wealth Management where he specializes in advising high net worth clients and business owners on wealth management and generational wealth transfer strategies, has recently taken on a new roll within the community

After several years of being a board member, Gaskins has been elected to serve as president for the New Hanover County Community Foundation. An affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation, the NHCCF is the area’s resource for philanthropic goals. They were established to focus on the needs of local nonprofit organizations, donors and charitable causes. The NHCCF also awards grants and scholarships both locally and statewide.

A Bladen County native, Gaskins is a certified financial planner who graduated with a degree in trust and wealth management from Campbell University in 1981. He has 33 years of experience helping clients reach their financial goals.

Gaskins serves on various non-profit boards including the Campbell University Presidential Board of Advisors. Campbell recently awarded him their Distinguished Alumnus Award.
