ROCKY POINT — After a long, chilly trip to Heidi Trask on Tuesday, the Lady Eagles got heated up quickly and remained undefeated with a 57-22 Four County Conference win.

East Bladen improved to 13-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference, while the Lady Titans fell to 6-7, 2-2.

The Lady Eagles hit the court running and opened the game with a 17-7 first quarter that set the tone for the next two quarters.

The momentum continued for East Bladen into the second quarter, as the trio of Lacey Suggs, Asha Graham and Abbey Norris piled up points and Imani Turner-Dobson swatted away Trask shots in the paint.

The Lady Eagles put another 15 points on the board before halftime, while the defense yeilded just six, and took a 32-13 advantage into the intermission.

If there was any doubt about the outcome of the contest, it was thoroughly erased in the third quarter.

East Bladen put on a clinic at both ends of the floor, sending 21 points through the net and holding the Lady Titans to a measly three points to extend the lead to an insurmountable 53-16 going into the fourth quarter.

With starters taking a seat on the bench, East Bladen coach patty Evers gave her subs a chance for some experience through the final 8 minutes. The quarter proved to be slow where scoring was concerned for both teams. Trask nipped the Lady Eagles during the period, 6-4, but East Bladebn easily claimed the 35-point win.

Suggs led the Lady Eagles with 17 points while adding six steals and five rebounds. Graham contributed 15 points and Norris had 11 points and seven boards. Abby Ward recorded seven assists and six steals for East Bladen.

On the defensive end, Turner-Dobson blocked nine Trask shots.
