ROCKY POINT — East Bladen ran into one of the Four County Conference’s buzz saws Tuesday in undefeated Heidi Trask, and did little to knock the Titans’ chain off its track during a 91-58 setback.

With the loss, the Eagles fall to 5-7 overall and 0-4 in the conference, while Trask improves to 13-0, 4-0.

The Titans doubled up East Bladen through the first quarter and took a 20-10 lead into the second stanza — and never looked back.

On a sub-freezing night outside, Trask was hot on the inside, where the Titans canned eight three-pointers and were more than solid from the free throw line. All of that was on display in the second quarter, when Trask put 25 points on the board and took a 45-24 lead into halftime.

The second half was no picnic for East Bladen, either, as the Titans continued to pour in points and play stiff defense.

Trask outscored the visiting Eagles by a 46-34 margin to put the lid on a 33-point win.

Jaquan Jones led East Bladen with 15 points, while Josh McMillian contributed 11 points and Eian Hines added eight points. Ten Eagles managed to score in the game.
